We usually respond within a day
About the company
Our client is a well-established Israeli industrial group with decades of experience and a strong market reputation. As part of its expansion, it is opening a new, state-of-the-art architectural glass production facility. Machinery is currently being installed, and production starts in a few months.
The role
We are looking for a Glass Process Engineer to help bring a new plant to life. The facility will include automated lines for cutting, edging, tempering, lamination, and insulating glass units (IGU), plus digital printing on glass. In the first phase the team will be very small (one or two employees), so this is a hands-on role for someone proactive who enjoys building processes from scratch. You will work in a matrix structure, supporting production staff and responding to requests from the Plant Manager.
Key responsibilities
Support the plant start-up: define and implement production processes, standards, and quality procedures
Monitor daily production, analyze process issues, and implement corrective actions
Solve technical problems and find practical solutions, e.g. adjusting glass parameters to meet customer requirements for commercial building projects
Optimize the laminating line and digital printing process
Work with the maintenance team: you don’t need to be a maintenance specialist, but you must understand how the machines work
Contribute to quality management and continuous improvement
Prepare data and reports for weekly and monthly reviews
Recommend investments and improvements for the plant
Requirements
Experience in the glass industry: ideally 10 years, minimum 5
Background in architectural/building glass (priority); automotive glass is a second-priority advantage
Strong knowledge of automated glass processes, especially lamination and digital printing on glass; solid understanding of cutting, edging, tempering, and IGU
Experience in quality management and process improvement
Strong technical and analytical skills
Proactive, solution-oriented approach; comfortable in a small team and a matrix structure
Fluent English, spoken and written (mandatory)
AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and strong MS Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
ERP and computerized production systems: a significant advantage
